Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Okay so last Wednesday, I went to the gym for the first time in two weeks. So as you can imagine, Kickboxing class that night was brutal. My regular trainer is completing his forth level black belt something something (I wasn't listening to him when he explained the training because I was wondering why he didn't consider me when he was making these plans) and this new class instructor is a different kind of ogbanje (evil spirit). So yea, class was a struggle. I was sooo uncoordinated! ?? I've been training … [Read more...]
Being My Reason
Okay so, last week I decided to shut down my blog. Writing wasn’t the problem (I write everyday) but I didn't have the zeal to post anything. People stopped reading my posts. 2 weeks ago, my brother and I attended a speaker series titled Everything you need to know about building a business in Africa. Like every Panel discussion, at the end, they gave the audience a chance to ask the panel questions. My brother got up, asked his question and stood while the panelists provided their answers. On our way home, I told him I admired his courage and asked him how managed to speak in public? His response was simple - "What's the worst that can happen?" He doesn't know it, put this statement has changed my life. For years, writing has been my … [Read more...]
God Win
Good day everyone, Please forgive me for MIA-e-zim... I got really sick but I am much better now(Thank you Jesus!!). I wrote this before I got sick but I never got a chance to share. Enjoy! Last summer, I met up with one of my friends for drinks after work. As soon as he saw me he asked me not get mad but he knows some Igbo guy he's sure I'll hit it off with. I was about to curse my friend out when someone said "hello" behind me. I turned to see a nice looking guy and my friend made the introductions. I smiled, excused myself and rushed to the restroom to repackage … [Read more...]
