Happy Friday before Valentine’s Day My Loves!!!! ??

I hope this week was everything you prayed it’ll be and more. And if not, I hope this weekend comes with all the rest you need to forget about it ?

Okay so, next Tuesday is Valentines Day.

For those who have a Valentine, HOLLER! Be sure to do something – ANYTHING – to remind your beloved that she or he matters. As times are hard, I recommend you find out what the person REALLY likes or wants so you don’t waste money, time or kill the person. (No joke, I’ve gotten flowers and I’m allergic. So… yea… do your homework first).

For everyone ELSE, fear not. I have a way for you to make the best/most of the day too. ??

Last Sunday, my daddy gave the best advise. Yes, you read right, my Daddykins!!!

Anyways, my baby sister bought a pair of boots a few weeks ago that she was hoping to return after church. When my dad saw the boots, he asked her why she had them and she explained.

My baby sister: Daddy, I bought them in the hopes that they will go on sale soon. They haven’t gone on sale and I’m more sure they will, so I’m returning them.

Daddy: How much are they?

When my sister told him the price, he said they were cheap.

Daddy: Nne, don’t you know you have to pay yourself? Let me tell you, you will always have responsibilities but you cannot spend all your money paying bills. Remember you have one life to live. You work hard. So every once in a while, you have to take out money and do something nice for yourself. Otherwise you will be frustrated. (He ended by telling her to keep it and promise to give her the money for it, so you know that made my baby girl’s day ??).

So sweets, if you are reading this and do not have a Valentine, I leave you with my father’s words “pay yourself.” There is nothing wrong with you and neither is there a law against you feeling special (whatever that means to you), by yourself on that day. You deserve it! ?
