And Happy Friday to you my beautiful people! Yes, today is Friday. But did you think I would just replace the blog with the short story series and forget the confessions? The same confessions of a Wawa New-Yorker that brought us to this point?? I THINK NOT!!!
On that note, moving forward, by the grace of God, I plan to keep Tuesdays as the short story series day and Friday as the Confessions/gist/inspiration/question of the day/whatever-that-is-doing-me day! Yay! Lol! On that note, LADIES…. WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!
Question – have you wondered if there is something you may be doing that drives men (potential life-mates) away from you?
Okay so, one of my guy friends hit me up IRATE!
Some background: a girl friend of mine moved back to Naija recently and my guy friend lives there. So I thought it’d be great to hook them up. They are both amazing people, so why not?
They went on a date.
While my girl friend (lets call her Ada Ada), thought it went great and can’t wait to see this guy again, the guy, thinks I hate him and can’t figure out what he did to deserve such “arrant nonsense” ??
Below (with his permission) is what he wrote:
Him: OBIAGELI, THAT YOUR STUPID FRIEND ORDERED EVERYTHING ON THE MENU! Don’t get me wrong, when she did, I assumed she hadn’t eaten and was hungry. So I didn’t care. But when the food came SHE ATE 2 SPOONS OF EVERYTHING and said she was full. SHE IS SO WASTEFUL!
Me: I’m sorry, did she offer to pay at least?
Him: Its not about the money!!! It’s like telling a woman to cook for me on the first date and telling her I want Oha soup and pounded yam, Jollof rice with goat-meat, Pepper soup and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Me: OMG LWKMD! Okay I get it
Him: It’s the principle. SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED WHAT SHE COULD NOT FINISH! The same way, women don’t want a man who would make them cook all the time, is the same way, men don’t want to see their hard earned money go down the drain on unfinished food.
Me: I get it. No too vex. I can talk to her… Maybe you can give her another chance…??
Him: OBIAGELI I DON’T WANT!
I’ll like to reiterate that Ada Ada is a great person! I am sure she had no intention of being wasteful or coming off any type of wrong way. Who knows how many men she may have scared off in the past with this behavior?
Ladies, this 2017, let us be mindful of our actions and be considerate of others.

I am wondering if the girl didn’t finish her food because she didn’t want her belly to expand and therefore look preggers by the time the meal was done and decided to stop and carry the rest home.

I know a few girls that order the most expensive or want there own, not sharing as others do! It’s annoying Biko! If it’s a new person I don’t even go out with them the 2nd time

Funny enough I read a book “Real love” where the author states that 3 dates is enough to know if someone is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Girls should really know that no man, no matter how nice or rich he seems to look wants to waste his money. The way you act, especially on a first date, tells a guy all he needs to know about you.
I have had a similar experience. I took this girl out on a first date. She said she only eats sea food. So i picked up a restaurant but she said she doesnt want that and instead chose a very expensive restaurant. Well I didn’t wanna act broke so I obliged. To cut the whole story short, when we’re at the restaurant, she ordered appetizer, main meal, dessert, and drinks. The annoying part was that she did not even finish the main meal when she asked for a dessert. At the end of the day she ended up taking them home.
I acted like every thing was cool but trust me, each time the girl calls me, all I was thinking about was how much I was going to spend on the next date. That’s the kind of feeling a man does not need to be having. Well that relationship did not get a second date and did not last for more than 2 weeks. The last time I checked, that girl was still single.
No man wants a girl that is wasteful. No matter how hungry you seem to be, first date or even a second date is not the time to display your food craving attitude . Not just food, but also material or expensive things.
