Happy Friday Beautiful People!!!!!
I Trust you had an amazing week!
Before I start, I have 2 things to share:
First, we took back the House!!!! Yes oh, the Democrats took back the House of Representatives during the US midterm elections on Tuesday and I cannot be more ELATED!!!! CHINEKE THERE IS GOD! Nothing beats resilience! Although we didn’t get the Senate, inconsiderate policies that would only benefit a specific class can be stopped or delayed AF at the House. So, I’ll take it!!!!
And second, I’ll like to take time to acknowledge the construction worker who offered me his seat in the train this morning on my way to my antigravity yoga class. That 5-6am rush hour commute hustle is real! Waking up that early to take an hour-long train ride just to work out is not easy! So, I know that waking up to start his day of hard physical labor at work is a lot worse. That said, I am grateful for his sacrifice! Wherever you are Sir, I pray God blesses you beyond your expectations before the end of this year, in Jesus name, Amen!
Now my dear ladies and gents, back to our regularly scheduled program! (I love saying that!! LMAO)
Okay so, I loveeeeeee November. Not just because it’s the month of Thanksgiving family gatherings and Black Friday sales; this is the month I cheat!
Every November, I take out time to look at everything I set out to do that year. I honestly don’t conduct my “year goals checks” as regularly as I should, but I always do it in November. And let me tell you eh, it’s hard. I always see things I set out to accomplish that year but never did. Then I beat myself up for it. Feel like I wasted the time, wallow in self-pity. But once that’s over, get all charged up.
As the project manager I am, I come up with a game plan:
- I evaluate my list, to see what I can still push to accomplish before the end of the current year.
- Make a list of things I want to do the following year (like go away for my birthday) and start planning/working towards those.
So basically, in November, I try to accomplish as much as 2018 goals as I can, while “setting p” for 2019.
You get it now? I’m cheating time! Smart right??? LOL
As always, my hearts, Thank you all so much for reading!!! Let me know what you think about my strategy (or anything else I put out today). Feel free to ask share what’s worked for you!
Love always,
The Wawa-New Yorker
