Once upon a time, there lived a woman who was good to people. This woman didn’t have much, but the little she had, she shared with everyone around her. You see, said woman believed in charity and so she gave. As a seamstress, she used her craft to make beautiful outfits for people so they would wear them and feel good about themselves regardless of their situation. She didn’t care for anything in return, she just gave.
One day, her dear friend, told her she was going to Israel for a pilgrimage. On hearing this, the woman was so happy for her friend! “I’ve always wanted to go, but I can’t afford to right now. Have a great time” she told her friend. Little did she know God had something great in store for her.
Without mentioning it to her, her friend reached out to people of the community. She asked for donations to sponsor this kind woman for this pilgrimage. Hearing this, the people gave generously and her friend started processing the paperwork for the woman to come on the trip.
This friend would asked the woman to accompany her to get flu shots, finger prints and take passport photos and then made her do whatever she was doing. “Since you are here, you might as well do these things too, you never know” the woman said.
One faithful day, she received a message stating that she has been approved for a trip to Israel and their departure date was December 16, 2016. Her friend told her that people came together and donated enough funds for her to make the trip.
NOW MY MOMMY IS HAVING THE TIME OF HER LIFE IN ISRAEL AND I CANNOT BE HAPPIER FOR HER!
I wrote this story to say you cannot go wrong with a giving heart. My mother is the best person and she deserves this and more. BUT my mother never gave anyone anything with intentions that giving would get her to Israel. She just did and God blessed her.
So as ‘Tis indeed is the Season, may we find ways to be charitable to others… You never know how God will bless you ?
